BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (WTVG) - Bowling Green State University and the State of Ohio are set to cut the ribbon Tuesday on a brand new Center for the Future of Forensic Science. Construction on the $1.2 million facility was completed recently thanks to funding from the state.
Ohio Attorney General, David Yost, will be on hand for the opening ceremony, along with BGSU President Rodney Rogers, Randy Gardner, the newly appointed Chancellor of the Ohio Department of Higher Education, and Jon Sprague, the director of the Center.
According to the university, the center will "provide an unparalleled experiential learning environment for forensic science students and a gateway to advanced training and cutting edge research for practicing forensic scientists, forensic science technicians, crime scene investigators and other law enforcement professionals.
